MISS UNIVERSE...!!!

Miss Universe is an everyday annual beauty contest managed by the MISS UNIVERSE ORGANIZATION. The first use of the title "Miss Universe" was as part of International Pageant  which began in 1926. These events, the first international contests, lasted until 1935 when the Great Depression and other events preceding World War 2 led to their demise. This pageant had no direct relationship with the modern event. The winner later of Miss America 1951 was Yolande Betbeze, but she refused to wear Catalina Swimwear. As a result, the brand's manufacturer Pacific Mills withdrew from Miss America and set up Miss Universe. It was won by Armi Kuusela from Finland in 1953. They proceed the contest every year and had many winners from different countries. Most are from United State.Malaysia also have sent a pageant every year but unfortunately the country did not win. Who knows the luck? Maybe next year will be ours.
